About This Project
With the wars winding down, this old fighter pilot, 'Froggy,' is making a move from the cockpit to the microphone. This career shift is going to be nothing if not interesting and a huge departure from my previous line of work. I'm moving from a linear, pure logical, action/reaction train of thought to a more creative chi this career will require. Although I don't have too much experience in an FCC regulated field, I do have extensive work trying to sell a situation. As a landing signal officer, it became routine to be at the back of the boat in rain, snow, sleet or a 50 foot pitching deck, day and night talking guys safely down onto the flight deck. Keeping guys calm in the worst of conditions became my specialty. Now, i'm hoping to turn that soothing sound towards ads, commercials and even movie trailers. Might not be too long till you hear me trying to sell you a new Ford pickup (sorry Mike Rowe, I'm coming for that sweet gig).
What I'm looking for is help in funding the $750 that is required to get a video and script, produce the the demo MP3/CD and get someone with the expertise to review the finished product and make adjustments and changes where it's needed. A good question now would be, "what do I get out of this?" For everybody pitching in $20 or more I will send out an autographed copy of your choice of Tomcat photos. Get it for someone in the family or the friend who has watched Top Gun a few too many times. Here I have a photo of two Tomcats flying for a photo op we did just prior to transitioning the squadron. On top of this one, I have several more you could choose from. Want one of a Tomcat in full afterburner during sunset? Tomcat on the deck of the carrier as the sunsets there? I've also got a few beautiful pics doing air-to-air refueling over Iraq (even some during you guessed it, at sunset....did a lot of night flying). Email me what you are looking for and I will gladly give you a couple to choose from and address it however you like. If you want a bunch of us old Tomcat pilots to sign it I will take it around to the few remaining guys who flew that piece of iconic history and make that happen. It could be like a team baseball.
I appreciate everyone's help on this one and hopefully you will be hearing me soon. Thank you.
